Ditching one ingredient is 'key to losing belly fat' says ITV doctor

Targeting belly fat is possible through cutting out sugar, claims Michael Mosley, inventor of the 5:2 diet. In an appearance on This Morning on ITV, the diet guru claimed belly fat is the 'most important fat to target'.

Mosley regularly appears on the programme and, in his latest appearance, advised dieters to cut down on sugar if they want to 'make serious impact on belly fat', Manchester Evening News reported.

The former doctor is the creator of the 5:2 diet where dieters consume food 'normally' for five days and fast for two.
