A furious Piers Morgan branded Health Secretary Matt Hancock an "absolute disgrace" after he refused to appear on Good Morning Britain today.
Unsurprisingly, however, the Tory MP agreed to take part in a BBC Breakfast instead, which left Piers incensed. Good Morning Britain had been keen to invite the Health Secretary onto the ITV programme after the news that the number of coronavirus cases have surged by 2,420 following another huge increase in infections.
New measures that have been implemented to slow the rise include banning gatherings of more than six people from Monday. Health Secretary Matt Hancock has also warned there were signs that a second peak could be coming after a "concerning" rise in infections.
