People with diabetes in Monklands and across Lanarkshire can now join new online support groups, yoga and mindfulness sessions to access vital support during the coronavirus lockdown.Diabetes Scotland has brought forward the launch of its planned digital peer support sessions, which are now being run on video conferencing app Zoom with a flexible schedule based on demand.Two groups are now up and running, respectively for people with type 2 diabetes and for young adults with type 1; while more are planned for people of various ages living or caring for someone with type 1 diabetes, including children, and for those affected by type 2.Conversations are supported by two facilitators but everyone is encouraged to share their experiences and
