David Walliams and Matt Lucas have apologised for blackface after Little Britain was pulled from streaming sites. Little Britain has been wiped off BBC iPlayer, BritBox and Netflix over its scenes depicting blackface.
Now the main stars have issued a joint apology which they have shared on their Twitter accounts with their fan base. In the joint statement, the comedians expressed their sorrow for portraying characters of other races in past sketches.
David and Matt pointed out they had voiced their regrets in recent years. In the wake of the Black Lives Matter movement, they wanted to apologise again over the blackface controversy.
