David Moyes has thrown in a sneaky dig at former employers Manchester United while giving an assessment of his progress at West Ham.
The Scot replaced club hero Sir Alex Ferguson at the helm of United upon his retirement in 2013 but was sacked after just nine months for failing to replicate the standards set by his predecessor.
United are now set to end a season without silverware for the fifth year in a row. They also find themselves as underdogs in the race for a top-four spot, with West Ham keeping them company as outside challengers.
That said, United are a place above Moyes’ Hammers and two points ahead with a game in hand.
