This is after the studio basically disavowed the events of the Netflix “Daredevil”/“Defenders” continuity when the character was brought back under the Marvel Studios umbrella.
Since then, there has been even more confusion with the inclusion of Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin, as well as reports of Jon Bernthal returning as the Punisher.
