Dame Vera Lynn's We'll Meet Again has had a huge boost in sales this week after the Queen referenced the famous wartime song during her address to the UK about the coronavirus pandemic on Sunday (April 5).
Downloads of We'll Meet Again are up 580% week-on-week, according to Official Charts Company data, which takes in sales across all major retailers including iTunes and Amazon.
The song became an anthem for Britons during the Second World War as many were separated from their loved ones. Following the Queen's address, which was seen by 24 million people, it has gained new resonance as millions of friends and families are apart during the current lockdown.
