A man lost years of precious memories within minutes after suffering a horrific motorbike collision. Karl Hargraves was thrown from his motorbike in a five-vehicle pile-up caused by an elderly woman who fell asleep at the wheel on the A17 in Lincolnshire.
The 49-year old suffered massive injuries, including serious brain damage - but said it was the quick thinking of passing motorist and medic, Andrew Hull, that saved his life in 2015.
Among his extensive injuries, scans revealed that Karl had suffered a subarachnoid haemorrhage and subdural haematoma, caused by bleeding on the surface of his brain.
He was placed in an induced coma for the next five days and underwent surgery to relieve pressure on his brain, reports Lincolnshire Live.
