Former Poland manager Czeslaw Michniewicz is interested in becoming the new manager of Aberdeen, according to reports. The 52-year-old left his job on the international scene after the World Cup in Qatar last year, who reached the last 16 of the major tournament.
It was the first time Poland had progressed from the group stages in 36 years and only a few months on from playing eventual winners Argentina and runners-up France, according to The Press and Journal, he is interested in making the move to the Premiership and Aberdeen.
Michniewicz would bring vast experience to Pittodrie, having won the Polish league titles with Legia Warsaw and Zagłebie Lubinm and he also led Legia to the group stages of the Europa League in 2021 where they beat Leicester City and Spartak Moscow.
While a formal application has not been submitted, they are 'willing to open up talks' as chairman Dave Cormack seeks a new leader.
