A cyclist has been targeted with a wire wood trap which was "deliberately" placed at head height across a popular biking spot.

Neil Nunnerly, 47, was riding on a path in woodlark near to Taff’s Well Quarry, Wales, on Saturday May 23rd when he noticed a trap moments too late.

The keen biker was travelling at "roughly 15 miles per hour" and sustained injuries to his mouth, face and chest after he hit a barrier made of wire and branches.

He said he was "hesitant" to go to the hospital in fear of coronavirus but was told to go to A&E after calling ahead, WalesOnline reports.
