Crew member flown to hospital after boat capsizes off Scots coast

Scotland. The Coastguard and RNLI raced to the scene near Inverbervie in Aberdeenshire after receiving a mayday call at about 3pm today.

A fishing vessel carrying three people capsized, with two of them in water.The incident took place about two nautical miles off the coast of Inverbervie, with another boat in the vicinity picking up a crew member who was sitting on the upturned hull.RNLI crews from Montrose and Stonehaven rushed to the scene, along with coastguard rescue teams from Arbroath, Stonehaven and Montrose.

One person was airlifted to hospital after being rescued from the water.Their condition is not known at this time.The other two were assessed by an ambulance team at Catterline.
