A 'superspreader' is believed to have carried on partying despite knowing close pals she had been on holiday with were suffering symptoms of coronavirus - sparking a cluster of infections.

Ayrshire in Scotland now has a confirmed cluster of 22 cases of Covid-19 linked back to house parties with a major track and trace operation underway.

It is feared a young woman ignored advice to self-isolate after two friends she had been on holiday abroad with were ill with coronavirus symptoms.

The pals returned from their getaway on August 21, but despite knowing her friends were suffering symptoms and were self-isolating, the woman is accused of continuing to socialise at parties and pubs in Ayr, South Ayrshire.
