Top sports lawyer Richard Cramer has claimed that the football season “has to be cancelled” if it cannot be resumed during April.
Fixtures across the Premier League, EFL and WSL have all been suspended until April 4 due to the coronavirus outbreak but that suspension is expected to be extended, with the pandemic likely to worsen.
Faced with the possibility of a long-term delay to football, there has been major debate over whether the season will be completed.
West Ham chief Karren Brady suggested that the season should be voided if it cannot restart, while Liverpool legend Kenny Dalglish believes the campaign “must” be completed .
