More than 100 members of Arsenal ’s staff have gone into self-isolation as a result of Mikel Arteta contracting coronavirus .
The Gunners boss tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday , prompting the Premier League to re-evaluate its approach to the pandemic.
The League called an emergency meeting and, after Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi also tested positive , the decision was made to suspend Premier League, EFL and WSL games.
For Arsenal, their trip to Manchester City had already been postponed and their game against Brighton was immediately suspended in the wake of Arteta’s diagnosis.
