The ongoing coronavirus pandemic has given clubs to consider who they might sign when the transfer window reopens. Dembele has been tipped to make a Premier League move after impressing for Fulham, Celtic and now Lyon, with Manchester United also linked with his signature in the past.
However, the 23-year-old could now miss out on a transfer back to London, despite the Blues keen to sign a striker for the new campaign.
The Daily Mail have reported that the move that could have been worth around £60m will now be reassessed by the club, as will interest in Burnley stopper Nick Pope.
