Coronation Street stars celebrate ITV soap in boost after string of exits and episode slash announcement
manchestereveningnews.co.ukCoronation Street stars have been seen celebrating as the show was given a major boost, weeks after a number of them spoke out on a supposed 'cast revolt' due to a number of exits and changes behind-the-scenes.
Last month, Andy Whyment who is famed for playing Kirk Sutherland on the cobbles, took to social media to address reports about what's going on at Corrie after a number of exits were announced in quick succession, despite the decisions having been made at different points throughout the past year.
He wrote on Instagram: "I’d just like to say that the show is not on its knees and there is most certainly not a cast revolt as one article has said.
Please don’t believe everything you read, I for at least one cast member am extremely happy and feel very grateful to still be working on Coronation Street." And his co-stars were quick to respond.
