Coronation Street star Sydney Martin has been flooded with the same messages by her co-stars and fans as she was seen posing up a storm at her first awards ceremony.
Fans will know that the actress, from Rossendale, made her debut in the ITV soap last year as Betsy Swain before it was revealed she was playing the previously unseen daughter of DS Lisa Swain.
The character has already been ruffling feathers in Weatherfield but has recently showcased her acting talents as part of Corrie's hard-hitting knife crime storyline, which saw Betsy's Mason Radcliffe die after being stabbed by his brothers in a shocking attack.
After less than a year in the role, Sydney found herself nominated for 'Best Soap Newcomer' at the TV Choice Awards 2025 alongside co-star Jack Carroll, who plays Corrie's Bobby Crawford, her real-life best friend Isabelle Smith, who plays Frankie Osborne in Hollyoaks and Beth Cordingly, who was eventually named winner of the gong for her role as Ruby Fox-Milligan in Emmerdale.
