In scenes aired earlier this month, a rag soaked in petrol was posted through the house's front door along with some lit matches.
The family was soon alerted to the fire by their neighbours as it quickly took hold. With David Platt not around, and fearing Lily was in the house, Shona Platt and Max Turner headed inside with Nick Tilsley, who was left rescuing an unconscious Toyah Habeeb, who had been attacked by Abi Webster.
But Shona and Max were quickly left trapped inside the empty house and while Shona managed to escape, with her horrified husband David waiting on the other side, Max was left stuck as the house exploded.
