Coronation Street star Rob Mallard couldn't contain his excitement as his off-screen partner Matthew Martin made an unexpected cameo on the cobbles.

Rob, known for his role as the troubled Daniel Osbourne, cheered on his partner as he stepped into the shoes of a police officer in a thrilling scene where Claire Sweeney's character, Cassie Plummer, found herself on the wrong side of the law.
