CORONATION Street's Max Turner star Paddy Bever has revealed the heart-breaking truth behind his NTAs win. The 19-year-old actor joined Corrie in September last year, taking over the role of Max from Harry McDermott.
Since then, Max has had some hard hitting storylines and Paddy has impressed with viewers with his portrayal of the teen. Last Thursday, the actor won the Rising Star gong at the National Television Awards, and looked utterly shocked when his name was called out.
Speaking about the win at the Inside Soap Awards, Paddy told The Sun Online that it had come at an important time for him. He said: "I just keep thinking about it.
Like, every time when I wake up in the morning, I'll wake up and I'll be thinking 'that didn't really happen', and then I think, 'oh it did'.
