Coronation Street star Daniel Brocklebank has confirmed his immediate future on the cobbles after taking on a new job. At the end of last year, the actor confirmed he'd only be briefly stepping away from the ITV soap to return to the stage.
Daniel, who is best known for playing Weatherfield's Billy Mayhew, revealed that he's signed up for a role away from his main job and will be returning to the stage in Figaro: An Original Musical.
At the time, a post from the musical's official Instagram account read: "Special Casting Announcement! West End and UK star of theatre, television, and film DANIEL BROCKLEBANK will be joining @figaromusical as Sienna’s ferociously protective father, ANTONIO! "UK audiences know this superstar best as Billy Mayhew on the hit show @coronationstreet.
Don’t miss out! Secure your tickets today to the Feb 3 & 4 shows at the world-renowned London Palladium through the link in profile or at figaromusical.com." Daniel has since been seen in London preparing for the role but he's now confirmed he returned to the Corrie set for the first time in 20205.
