Officers from Police Scotland are awaiting the results of a post mortem after the 57-year-old was discovered on Sunday afternoon in Kilsyth.
Detectives locked down an area close to Banton Loch shortly before 3pm after they were alerted to the grim find.The Scottish Ambulance Service was also called to the scene close to the town’s Stirling road.A local woman described the scene on social media.She wrote: “I was out walking the dog earlier and noticed a police van with its lights flashing.”“As I got closer I could see tap and a big blue plastics sheet thing.”“It was like police were trying to hide something from the public.”A Police Scotland spokesperson said this morning: “We received a report of a body found near Banton Loch in Kilsyth.
