A COP who was allegedly attacked by Jessie Wallace outside a nightclub has quit after police chiefs let the EastEnders star off with a slap on the wrist.
The drunk actress, who plays Kat Slater in the BBC soap, grappled with officers, telling the PC to “f*** off you fat c***”. Footage appeared to show Jessie kneeing him in the groin as he tried to calm her down before she was arrested and hauled into a police van.
Wallace, 51, was later cautioned — against the cop’s wishes — instead of being charged with assaulting him. The PC was further upset when she failed to write a letter of apology to him — a condition of her caution last June.
She was given 16 weeks to send the note but missed the deadline.
