Defender Jones is not expected to be seen in a Wanderers shirt before Christmas, Bolton head coach Evatt has said, after the 24-year-old suffered ankle joint damage last weekend in the victory over Harrogate Town.
The former Carlisle United defender had been one of Evatt's most relied upon players so far this season, before being forced off against the Yorkshire side, and has undergone a CT scan and is due to see a specialist tomorrow.
The absence of Jones, potentially for much of the rest of 2020, leaves Wanderers light on the right hand side of the defence and the pitch, with Jak Hickman the only other notable right-sided defensive player.
