Commonwealth flag on Scottish Government buildings after Brexit. A petition was sent to parliament complaining the blue-and-gold EU flag is no longer valid and should be replaced.
It follows a row earlier this year after the Record revealed the SNP's plan to keep the distinctive European symbol flying year round outside the Holyrood building in Edinburgh.
The Commonwealth scheme comes one day after former British colony Barbados took another step to removing the Queen as head of state and becoming a full republic.The Scottish Government said: "Scottish Ministers are showing their commitment to the values of the EU and solidarity with the 230,000 EU nationals who live and work in Scotland."There are, therefore no plans to replace the routine.
