A ‘jealous’ man has avoided jail after threatening to ‘run 50,000 volts’ through his ex-girlfriend’s male friend.Thomas Ashurst-Davies, 25, had been sending abusive messages to his former partner, threatening to chop off her friend’s tongue.He then accused her of laughing about it and said he would turn up to her house and electrocute him with a taser, Manchester Crown Court heard.After turning up at her house in Atherton, Ashurst-Davies, also of Atheron, threatened to ‘f**k up’ her friend before shoving the taser towards him.The woman blocked him, allowing for her friend to escape.The couple began to row, which spilled out onto the street and alerted her neighbour who told Ashurst-Davies to shut up and leave.He then threatened to ‘stick’.
