Coleen and Wayne Rooney's neighbours have reportedly won the battle to ban the construction of a traveller site near the famous couple's home.
According to The Sun, Cheshire East Council had been inundated with over 1,000 letters of objection citing concerns over the proposed traveller site.
An estimated 50 people and at least 13 caravans had established a community on unused farmland. The caravan site was located close to the homes of the Rooneys as well as footballer Wes Brown and his Real Housewives Of Cheshire star wife Leanne's home.
The publication reported that proposed building plans for the traveller site was brought forward by a member of the travelling community called Michael Malone.
