Sir Alex Ferguson believes Wayne Rooney has got the "presence" to be a good manager after he was appointed Derby boss. The former Manchester United man took his first steps into management at Pride Park.
Rooney had been holding the role on an interim basis, but was given the role full time on Friday. The now 35-year-old played for several different managers in his career, but the bulk of it was under Ferguson at Old Trafford.
The Scot, who retired in 2013, has told Rooney that it is a results industry, but cited his positive start to life thus far.
