Manchester music legend Clint Boon has announced that he is quitting his hugely popular radio show on XS Manchester. Clint has been at the station for the past seven years and presents XS's drive time show from 3pm to 6pm on weekdays.
But on Monday Inspiral Carpets star Clint stunned his Boon Army of loyal listeners by announcing it's time to leave the airwaves.
In a surprise move, he said he needed to make an announcement just after the start of his Monday afternoon show. He went on to confirm he is leaving radio after 28 years in broadcasting and the past seven at XS.
He said it was "100 per cent his decision" to leave - and that his last show for the station will be on the Friday before Christmas, December 22.
