Cleo Smith seen for first time in mum's arms as 'needle in haystack clue' led to rescue

four-year-old girl who was found after being abducted for 18 days, has been seen for the first time, safely in her mother's arms.She was spotted smiling and holding a pink balloon as her mum Ellie Smith carried her out of their home in Carnarvon, Australia.

Cleo had vanished from a family campsite at Blowholes park some 100 km (62 miles) away from where she was found. She had gone to bed on an air mattress next to her sister's cot in a tent, and when her mum woke up the tent was open and Cleo wasn't there.Police raided a 36-year-old suspect's house after a tip-off on Tuesday.

When asked by an officer who she was, the young girl's first words were "my name is Cleo".After the raid, Western Australia’s Deputy Police Commissioner Col Blanch.
