South Lanarkshire will be lit up for Christmas at a series of events being staged across the community..The countdown to Christmas is very much on, with lights scheduled to be switched on at events across the region.Proceedings have already got under way with the lights already on in Lanark and East Kilbride.This weekend it's Rutherglen's turn, with the lights switched on at 4.30pm on Saturday, November 23.On the same day, the Christmas Light Switch-On will illuminate Quarry Street in Hamilton, from 10am to 5.30pm.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
