Frank Lampard is expected to strengthen again in the January transfer window with his Chelsea side still some way from challenging for the Premier League title.
Chelsea spent more than £200million in the summer on the likes of Timo Werner, Kai Havertz and Ben Chilwell among others. But the Stamford Bridge side have dropped out of the top four after losing three of their last five top-flight matches while winning only one of them.
While some of their summer signings have settled in well, Werner and Havertz are currently struggling - and that's a conundrum for Lampard as he ponders how to get the best out of his squad.
