Chelsea signing Timo Werner this summer could spell the end for Tammy Abraham at the club, according to Steve Nicol. The Blues have struck a deal to sign Werner, one of Europe’s most sought-after young forwards, for close to £53million from RB Leipzig.
The Germany international had been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool until the Reds reportedly pulled out of talks. It would be a coup for the Chelsea boss Frank Lampard, who wanted to add more attacking power to his team for next season.
The club have already agreed a deal with Ajax to sign winger Hakim Ziyech and competition for forward positions is set to increase again.
