Chelsea are reportedly preparing a £75million bid for Kai Havertz as they bid to united the attacking midfielder with Timo Werner.
But they face competition for Havertz, with Premier League rivals Liverpool and Manchester United among the sides to have been linked with the Bayer Leverkusen star.
Leverkusen have acknowledged they face a battle to hold on to Havertz this summer, with Bayern Munich and Real Madrid also believed to be keen on the 20-year-old.
And Chelsea hope the lure of being able to team him up with his Germany teammate Werner will help them land Havertz, according to the Daily Mail.
