Chelsea boss Frank Lampard should not try and sign Philippe Coutinho from Barcelona in the summer transfer window. That is the view of former Blues defender Frank Leboeuf, who reckons it would be too much of a risk to spend a large amount of money on the midfielder.
Chelsea are one of a number of Premier League clubs linked with signing former Liverpool star Coutinho. And Daily Star Sport understand that they are “in advanced talks” over a loan deal for the Brazil international.
But Lampard has a large amount of money to spend due to the club’s lack of transfer activity over the last couple of windows and he could be willing to stump up the reported £80m for him.
