Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has identified three reasons that he chose to recall defender Antonio Rudiger for the win against Fulham.The German made only his third start in the Premier League this season as his side battled to a 1-0 win over the 10-man London side.It was one of only three changes the manager made in the first league game since their humiliating 3-1 loss to Manchester City.Replacing Kurt Zouma at the back alongside Thiago Silva, Lampard’s reasons for bringing the 27-year-old in suggest he is feeling some pressure.
When asked on Sky Sports before kick-off about his team changes, the Blues boss cited “indifferent recent results, good training” and the “need to show personality” at Craven Cottage.
