Celtic chief executive Peter Lawwell will leave the club in the summer and retire. Lawwell, who has held the role for the past 17 years, will be replaced by Scottish Rugby's Chief Operating Officer Dom McKay, who has described the role as a once in a lifetime opportunity.Celtic have won nine consecutive league titles in Scotland under the guidance of Lawwell, and 13 of the last 17 attempts at domestic glory before the current season got underway.Although Rangers look set to end that run of titles after forging a 23 point lead at the top, the work of Lawwell has been praised by many fans following his extended success.Lawwell commented on the official club website: "It has been an enormous privilege to have served the Club and our supporters.
