Carl Reiner has died at the age of 98.US showbiz publication TMZ reports that the star died on Monday night at his home in Beverly Hills, surrounded by his family.
His publicist confirmed the news to Variety, and said that Reiner had died of natural causes.Reiner was known for his double act with fellow comedy star Mel Brooks.The multi-talented star created, wrote and starred in The Dick Van Dyke show and also co-wrote and directed some of Steve Martin's best-loved comedies including Man with Two Brains and The Jerk.Born in 1922, he began his entertainment career on Broadway then appeared in comedy sketches in Sid Caesar's Your Show Of Shows, where he first worked alongside Brooks.
