Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson Hon FRIBA (born 19 June 1964) is a British politician, writer, and former journalist serving as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and Leader of the Conservative Party since 2019. He was Foreign Secretary from 2016 to 2018 and Mayor of London from 2008 to 2016. Johnson was Member of Parliament for Henley from 2001 to 2008 and has been MP for Uxbridge and South Ruislip since 2015. Ideologically, Johnson identifies as a one-nation conservative.

mirror.co.ukCaptain Sir Tom Moore's grieving family are leading a 'national clap' for the 100-year-old NHS fundraising hero. Boris Johnson said Captain Tom dedicated his life to serving others and encouraged people to join in the national applause in memory of him this evening.
Mr Johnson told the Commons: "We all now have the opportunity to show our appreciation for him and all that he stood for and believed in. "That is why I encourage everyone to join in a national clap for Captain Tom and all those health workers for whom he raised money at 6pm this evening." His family said they would be taking part.
A second clap is also being organised for Friday. Organiser Hannah Jayne-King from Cwmbran, South Wales, had already planned to honour the fundraiser
