Captain Sir Tom Moore's final moments with his family have been shared by his daughter. NHS fundraising legend Captain Tom died on Tuesday, February 2, after being admitted to hospital after he tested positive for coronavirus.
He heroically raised more than £32million for the NHS by walking 100 laps of his back garden ahead of his 100th birthday. Sir Tom had initially set out to raise just £1,000 for NHS Charities Together, “for the sake of the nurses and the NHS we have, because they are doing such a magnificent job”.But the national hero passed away after receiving treatment for pneumonia and later testing positive for Covid-19.He spent his final few hours in a bed in Bedford Hospital talking to his two daughters, Lucy Teixeira and Hannah.
