Captain Sir Tom Moore's loving family have revealed the NHS fundraising hero would have wished for a "small" funeral. It comes just less than a week after the 100-year-old's two daughters Hannah and Lucy confirmed the WW2 veteran had died shortly after contracting coronavirus while battling pneumonia.
Following his death, thousands across the world including Her Majesty The Queen, President Joe Biden and Boris Johnson shared their condolences with the Moore family, with Brits taking to the streets on Wednesday to Clap for Sir Tom.
Sir Tom brightened the spirits of the country during the first coronavirus lockdown in April 2020, hoping to raise £1,000 for the NHS by walking 100 laps of his sprawling garden before he turned 100.
