Burst water main affects hundreds of Kilmarnock homes and one primary school

Kilmarnock residents have reported water supply issues this morning after a water main burst in the area. Homes in KA1 and KA2 have had no supply of water since the early hours of this morning.Crosshouse Primary School has also been hit with the issue but the council says the school will remain open.An East Ayrshire statement reads: "We’ve been advised of a burst water main in Crosshouse this morning and this is affecting water supplies at Crosshouse Primary School, ECC and communications centre."The schools is open as normal – we have bottled water and hand sanitiser available – but we will be linking with Scottish Water and will provide updates on the situation as soon as we have more information."Thank you for your patience at this.
