Burnley fan has been filmed making an alleged Nazi salute towards Tottenham fans.During the 1-0 defeat for the Lancashire side at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, one of the home fans filmed the supporter lifting his arm straight out at an angle, and repeating the move over and over again.

A caption of the uploaded video read: “Disgusting, Burnley fan at Spurs today doing a Nazi salute. Absolutely shameful. @metpoliceuk take action against this, no room for racism or antisemitism in football.”And in the replies, the poster continued: “Should also make clear that loads of Burnley have expressed disgust at this, have received loads of DMs from their fans.

Disgusting behaviour but only a small majority, does not represent Burnley or what they stand for. Also want to make clear that the stewards removed them as soon as they heard the reports.”Tottenham has a proud Jewish support and a historical association with the community through their supporters in North London.A Burnley statement read: “We can confirm there have been three arrests in the away end today following reports of discrimination.“This is now a police investigation and, collectively, we will work with Tottenham Hotspur, Met Police and Lancs Police on this matter.”Tottenham said in a statement: “The Club can confirm two visiting supporters have been identified and arrested following discriminatory gestures at today’s match.
