A boy was rushed to hospital after being hit by a car in Oldham last night - with a man arrested on the scene. Emergency services were called to Vulcan Street at around 6.30pm yesterday (Thursday) to reports of a collision between a child and a car.
The child was a young boy, whose age has not been released at this stage. He was rushed to hospital from the scene with life-threatening injuries.

Last night, a cordon was put in place on a stretch of Vulcan Street as investigations were carried out. Accident investigation officers could be seen taking pictures and placing evidence markers on the road within the police tape.
