BREAKING Upminster shooting: Boy, 11, gunned down in east London as suspects flee scene

An 11-year-old boy has been hospitalised after he was shot in an attack in east London on Friday night. A number of suspects fled the scene following the shooting in Upminster while another adult at the same address suffered a head injury.

Police were called at 9:30pm this evening to an address in Kerry Drive, Upminster. Officers attended along with the London Ambulance Service and discovered the two people at the address with injuries.

The police said: "A man, believed to be aged in his 40s, had sustained lacerations to his head. It is unknown whether his injuries were caused by the firearm discharge." In the statement released by the Metropolitan Police it was revealed both victims were injured inside the address.
