A cyclist is fighting for his life in hospital after being hit by a tram in Wythenshawe. The 77-year-old man was riding his bike on Simonsway yesterday afternoon (Thursday) when he collided with the tram at the Robinswood Road Metrolink stop.
Police said he 'entered the level crossing area'. He was rushed to hospital from the scene where he remains in a critical condition.

Following the incident yesterday, tram services were halted as an air ambulance landed nearby. Police are keen to speak to any witnesses, particularly anyone who has footage of the incident.
