Officers have charged an alleged gunman with attempted murder following a 'shooting' in Greater Manchester. Police launched an investigation into an alleged firearms discharge on Fisher Close, in Worsley Mesnes, Wigan, earlier this month.
It follows an incident on Saturday, July 8. Greater Manchester Police arrested a suspect on Worsley Mesnes Drive on Wednesday (July 19).
Scott Higgins, of Kirkhall Lane, Leigh, has since been charged with attempted murder and possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life.
The 35-year-old has also been charged with doing an act intended to pervert the course of justice, possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life and possessing a bladed article in a public place.
