A 13-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a suspected shooting. Lancashire Police said officers were called to reports of a suspected firearms discharge in an alleyway to the rear of Skipton Street in Morecambe shortly before 6pm on Monday (November 15).

Police said a 13-year-old boy from Lancaster was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, and he remains in custody. The force added that patrols will be increased in the coming days to reassure the community.
