Bournemouth winger Arnaut Danjuma has opened up on being falsely arrested by the police on suspicion of attempted murder. The incident occurred just days before the UK went into lockdown in March, after a stabbing occurred on 16 March.
Danjuma - who joined the Cherries in a £13.7million move from Club Brugge last summer - was walking through the town centre when he was suddenly approached by police and put in handcuffs.
However, the Netherlands international was soon released without charge as the officers realised they had arrested the wrong person.
