Bayern Munich’s outspoken honorary president Uli Hoeness has taken aim at Borussia Dortmund over their transfer strategy. And he has gone so far as to question whether BVB chiefs just see their young stars as "objects for sale".
Dortmund have received plenty of plaudits in recent years for their ability to scout and sign young talent, persuading the likes of Ousmane Dembele, Christian Pulisic, Erling Haaland and Jadon Sancho to join them at young ages.
This summer they have done so again, with 17-year-old Jude Bellingham rejecting Manchester United to join them from Birmingham City.
